Roundhouse Labs

Roundhouse Labs Inc. Ottawa, Canada

Software we build, own, and keep running.

We are an independent Canadian software company. We design our own products, ship them, and run them ourselves. Two are in service today: Zozo, for people who write software, and Moodful, for anyone who wants to notice how they feel.

A roundhouse is where locomotives are serviced, turned around, and sent back out. Ours has eleven stalls and two engines so far.

Zozo

You decide. It grinds.

Zozo works through your software backlog while you are away from the keyboard. It turns vague ideas into well-formed issues, stops to ask when a decision is genuinely yours, and merges nothing without your approval.

Moodful

Check in with how you feel.

Moodful is a calm place to log your mood, a note, and what shaped your day. Over time it shows you patterns, not pep talks. It runs on iPhone, Android, and the web.

How the house runs

Small on purpose.

  1. Owner-operated

Roundhouse Labs is wholly owned and run by its founder. There are no outside investors, so the only people we answer to are the ones using the software.

  2. Products, not projects

We build things we intend to operate for years, and we do the operating ourselves: the servers, the support inbox, the fixes.

  3. Room in the stalls

Each product gets its own name, its own site, and real attention. Nine stalls are still empty, and we are in no hurry to fill them.
